A Bit About Me
Welcome to my website! My name is Erin Chegwyn and I am a textile designer specializing in print design. I am passionate about colour, mark making, and contemporary design. Currently, I am in my final year at Nottingham Trent University, where I have developed valuable skills in my creative practice, helping me to discover who I am as a designer. I have had the opportunity to take part in live industry briefs and competitions, where I was fortunate enough to be awarded first place in the TU Sainsbury's competition and win a placement at NEXT menswear design department.

Nottingham Trent University - After studying Fashion Design at Plymouth College of Art, achieving a distinction and innovation award, I wanted to pursue my creative journey within Textiles design. After being accepted into Central Saint Martins, having some time off to reflect due to the pandemic, I began my journey at NTU on the Textiles design course, specialising in Print Design. I have developed my own creative style, learned valuable design skills and found a personal love for colour infused prints and contemporary design.
NEXT Placement - I was grateful to be awarded a placement at NEXT's Head office in the Menswear Design Department, Specialising in Print Design. I gained Valuable experience within working in a design team, discussing trends and collection plans, along with building my skills within print design.
July 2018
ERDEM Internship, Getting a taste of life in the creative industry . I was lucky enough to do a two week internship at ERDEM's head office, in the design department, developing samples and understanding how a fashion brand prepares for Fashion Week.
